All individuals 12 years or older who live, work, or attend school in Peel can now book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment at a school pop-up clinic

Beginning Saturday June 5, 2021, youth in Peel can receive their COVID-19 vaccine at a variety of familiar school pop-up locations. Walk-in appointments are available for youth enrolled in special education programs, or youth seeking a different environment from a mass clinic experience. Planning was completed in consultation with school boards in Peel. Any of these clinics are open to individuals 12 years of age or older who live, work, or attend school in Peel Region.
Individuals aged 12 years or older can consent to immunization on their own behalf provided they understand the benefits and risks of the procedure. As with any other medical procedure, family discussion is pertinent, and we encourage parents and children to have conversations. Informed consent means understanding the treatment, why it’s being recommended, and the risks and benefits of refusing the vaccine. Providing consent means one agrees to being vaccinated. It is a choice one makes, and Peel Public Health encourages everyone to be informed before making that choice. Learn more about vaccines and children.
Getting vaccinated helps protect children from getting sick and controls the spread of COVID-19 in the community, including to people who may be at a higher risk of complications. Full vaccination of our children helps bring us closer to a way of learning together safely that is a little more familiar and normal.
